12th TRB National Transportation Planning Applications Conference

The Call for Abstracts for the 12th TRB Conference on Transportation Planning Applications is posted on the web at www.trb-appcon.org. The conference will be held in May 17-21, 2009 in downtown Houston, Texas. Conference and submittal information is available on this web site along with additional contact information.

The TRB Conference on Transportation Planning Applications, held every other year since 1987, provides a forum for the exchange of workable ideas, methodologies, and experiences in all areas of transportation planning. The conference will feature presentations chosen from abstract submittals that offer practical and innovative solutions to contemporary planning challenges. Planning policies, planning procedures, and technical analysis methods will be addressed. The conference organizers invite you to submit abstracts on any transportation planning topic, including:

  • Financing, Pricing, and Tolling
  • Freight and Goods Movement
  • Long-Range Transportation Plans

Please submit your abstracts on-line at www.trb-appcon.org prior to September 30, 2008. Please confine the abstract to less than 350 words. Contact author information must be entered on-line during the abstract submittal. Please identify the general topic you think the abstract fits into from the list above or specify a new topic. Authors of accepted abstracts are encouraged to prepare a complete paper for presentation at the conference. The abstract, presentation and paper will be posted to the web site after the conference. Authors with best papers from the conference may be asked to present their paper in a session at the next TRB meeting.
